It is certain that most of people just can’t get over cute fluffy animals. They watch them as they quickly go from cute and clumsy pooches to fully grown adults in just a few months. German Shepherds are known for growing into large dogs, but this particular dog of the German Shepherd breed, unfortunately, will look like a puppy for the rest of his life. The dog named Ranger was diagnosed with Pituitary Dwarfism. He was diagnosed after an infection caused by a parasite called Giardia.

The infection was in his neck, and with the help of his owners, he was able to get rid of it eventually. although he recovered, his humans noticed that he wasn’t growing at a normal rate. They took him to the vet again and there he was diagnosed with dwarfism.  The condition is typically linked with having a thyroid disorder called hypothyroidism that causes the thyroid gland to not produce enough hormones. This caused Ranger to suffer from flaky skin and hair loss; but, luckily, he is now taking medication to manage his condition. Today, Ranger is happier and healthier than ever. Although he’s still small, he is a huge part of the Mayo family and has captured the hearts of many people on the internet after his family opened an Instagram page for him t share his story.
