Cold Cat in Poor Health Condition Receives Help After Knocking on Woman’s Window

It is comforting to know there are still people out there who are ready to answer your cry for help, or in this case your Meow.

This cat was out standing in the snow in a very poor health condition, and she had nothing else  to do but knock on people’s doors and see who is willing to help her.

Her call was answered by a woman, who heard the noise coming from her backyard and took immediate action. She contacted Marie Simard, the founder of Un Chat à la Fois, a kitten rescue in Quebec, Canada.

“He went into the carrier by himself and once he got to the vet, he was very easy-going, he let the vet do the checkup, the blood test and X-rays, the cat was not feral at all,” Simard said.

The cat was named Aslan, in honor of the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia series.

Aslan was considered a lost cat because he was to friendly to be born outside. Unfortunately he didn’t have  microchip to be traced, and his health condition was very bad. He had rotten teeth, frostbite, a bite wound (he was bleeding somewhere on his body), fleas, worms, he had diabetes and skin allergy. His blood work was very bad and he had to stay hospitalized a few days so he could be stabilized before going to his foster family. He also had issues with his eyes, which were taken care of with surgery.

It was the kindness of strangers who rescued this cat, otherwise it wouldn’t had survived the winter.

He was supper friendly and nice to the staff of the clinic, and soon was showing results of recovery. He was getting ready for a new home, but the foster mom decided to keep this sweet cat, as he was also getting supr friendly with on of the other cat named Cleo.

All the love and care have helped the kitty’s health tremendously. In a few days, Aslan got better and was ready to finish his recovery at a foster home.

“Aslan is a very affectionate cat. He forgot his outdoor life, he doesn’t try to go outside. He likes to sleep on her pillow and he likes to cuddle”, said the foster mom.

After hearing Aslan’s story people were happy someone took care good care of him and now he’s living a happy life.

Vet Goes Viral After Naming 5 Dog And 4 Cat Breeds He Would Never Purchase

For most of the pet lovers there, we know we are choosing our pets wisely (if we have the chance to). Some things have to be considered, like our capability to raise the animal or the practicality of raising a certain breed. Because sometimes, you would be allured by the look of the pet and only realize that it would be hard to maintain the pet.

The veterinarian Ben (@ben.the.vet) shares the same viewpoint. So he published a video where he ran down the breeds of cats and dogs that would have the most disadvantages for him as a vet. Keep in mind that this list is from a veterinarian’s perspective and is subjective. This does not intend to foster aversion towards the mentioned breeds.
