‘Casa Brutale’ Overlooking the Aegean Sea Portrays the Concept of Living in the Edge

Casa Brutale is the home concept of living on the edge. Set against a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea, the project was created by OPA (Open Platform for Architecture).  Its sleek, modern design covers nearly the entire unit with rock, and as a result, there is relatively little impact on the surrounding environment.

Of its entire surface, only two areas are visible from the outside, the swimming pool which covers the top area, and a set of stairs that lead you into the main living space. The enormous glass façade provides amazing views throughout the entire residence, even the bed. The interior design is quite minimal and features cool concrete surfaces, that maintain the beauty of the surrounding environment.

Nature plays a big role within the house, where the roof serves as a source of natural light also a very cool pool. The sun passes through the water and the liquid diffuses the light, reflecting astonishing patterns onto Casa Brutale’s floors and walls, giving you the amazing feeling of living under the sea.

This Facebook Group Is Dedicated To Shaming Bad Architecture, And Here’s 20 Pics That Got Roasted

Sometimes, in architecture, designs can go out of the ordinary. For example, we have a rather dangerous architecture that is as dangerous as it looks, if not more. On a positive note, we also have a somewhat friendly architecture that is not only useful for the user but also cares for their welfare as well.

And today, we’ll be having some funny designs. These structures aren’t dangerous and still serve their purpose, but how they’re constructed can be hilarious. Today, we’ll head over to the Facebook group That’s It, I’m Architecture Shaming – Burn It to the Ground Edition, the gathering place for people who love to poke fun at funny designs. Below, we compiled the 20 funniest structures ever presented in the group!
