‘Casa Brutale’ Overlooking the Aegean Sea Portrays the Concept of Living in the Edge

Casa Brutale is the home concept of living on the edge. Set against a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea, the project was created by OPA (Open Platform for Architecture). It’s sleek, modern design covers nearly the entire unit with rock, and as a result, there is relatively little impact on the surrounding environment.

Of its entire surface, only two areas are visible from the outside, the swimming pool which covers the top area, and a set of stairs that lead you into the main living space. The enormous glass façade provides amazing views throughout the entire residence, even the bed. The interior design is quite minimal and features cool concrete surfaces, that maintain the beauty of the surrounding environment.

Nature plays a big role within the house, where the roof serves as a source of natural light also a very cool pool. The sun passes through the water and the liquid diffuses the light, reflecting astonishing patterns onto Casa Brutale’s floors and walls, giving you the amazing feeling of living under the sea.
