“I am a massive fanboy and collector! My move for toy photography originated from my move for the fandom before the photography aspect. Collecting the toys gave me the desire to learn the art of photography so I could photograph them and bring them to life,” shared Jared.

Jared has always been a lover of toys and action figures since he was a kid. But, about 10 years ago, he started heavily collecting toys and action figures. “My collection has gotten very large at this point. I recently bought a house and cannot wait to display my collection in a new larger place,” added Jared.

The final results of his shooting look like they were taken out of a movie scene. His work is quite incredible, and to think all the effort that goes in it. The photographer shared a little bit about his working process as well: ” Each photo can be completely different in process. But I will usually start with an idea, then I’ll pose my figures inside, then bring them along with my equipment outside, sometimes just on the pavement. Then I’ll shoot and take several photos with different effects and lighting. After shooting, I’ll go inside and bring up the photos in Adobe Photoshop on my laptop. I’ll combine/layer photos together to create one epic final product!

At times it can be very challenging to create the image I have in my head. It’s often not what I had envisioned but that is totally okay! Every time I shoot, I learn something new and become a better photographer by the end of the shoot,” explained the photographer.
