Artists have that incredible skill of presenting masterpieces to the public who often seem to good to be true. The hyperrealism genre in art has been quite popular through time, and it was mostly used to show the real level of talent of an artist.
It’s kind of, showing off how incredibly detailed their eye capture is, how precisely they can observe the objects, people, and environment, colors, textures, lights, and shadows, and how perfectly they can reflect it on paper, canvas, sculpture, or any other medium of art.
One of this great artists who amazes you with his photorealistic paintings is Kei Mieno. Based on the information he put on his webpage, Kei graduated from Hiroshima City University College of Arts and has been living as a painter doing realism art ever since.
Earthwonders reached out to Mieno to ask him more about his work. He shared that he has started painting since he was 18 years old. While most people argue if his work is a painting or just a photograph, the artist shares videos on his YouTube channel where you can see him creating those masterpieces with his brush.
When asked if it’s challenging to create hyperrealistic paintings like this, the artist said: “The most difficult thing it’s to be completely real, not just photo-real”. Besides painting his rich portfolio includes water paintings and drawings as well.
