Disney characters have inspired a lot of artists since the very beginning of their time. Nowadays, a lot of Disney fans try to illustrate their own version of how they see the characters. We have seen quite some examples so far, which you can check out here, here, here, and here. But now Russian artist Oksana Pashchenko brings her own unique version of Disney princesses with their parents on their wedding day.
The way Pashchenko portrays them is like the usual pic you take with your parents by your side in your wedding day. The characters are illustrated posing in front of an imaginary camera. Knowing the story of most of these characters, we know that some of them were orphans, or didn’t have one of the parents, but the artist still brings the spirit of the missed one through a slightly transparent image.
Despite the princesses which usually take all the spotlight, Pashchenko focuses on some of Disney’s iconic villains as well . The artist strips the characters from their iconic dresses, and covers them with layers of white which reflects love and happiness on every one of them, be that a villain or a princess. The artist shared some insight on her work with us.

“I like to draw cute themes that happened in my life: love, wedding, children, family and so on. Princess wedding is just one of a series of my works on this topic,” shared the artist.
Knowing that Cinderella was an orphan, the artist made sure to keep the memory of her parents in this adorable illustration.
“It is very sad that most princesses do not have one of their parents alive, and sometimes both. ( Especially often there is no mother, but this is an incredibly important person in the life of every girl!) I thought that it would be great if at least just a parental spirit was present at the princess’s wedding.. I am happy that my parents are alive and well, and that they were able to share this magical event with me.”
Additionally, the artist expressed her love for painting. “The whole process brings me great pleasure. First, I surf the Internet and look for inspiration, sometimes I watch cartoons. It’s not difficult for me to draw such illustrations.
But my son needs a lot of attention, so I’m limited in time. Because of this, the drawings take more time to finish,” added Oksana.
Moreover, Oksana’s expecting a second child. The artist’s sure that his birth will inspire her to create more drawings. We wish her a healthy life and happiness with her family, and expect a lot of adorable drawings like these in the future.
