‘Sand Pools’ On The Backyard Is The Latest Trend

Desperate times seem to really call for desperate measures. Or sometimes really creative ones.

Since the COVID-19 situation has changed so many things this year, especially the way we interact with the others, and very much worth mentioning, this year’s vocations, people have to think of alternative ways of having them. After all, summer will still be hot, COVID-19, or no COVID-19, and despite that for the most part, we’ve been staying inside our homes, some hot sand hitting our feet, foam-filled waves hitting the shore, and some blue calming water to dive in is very much needed. After all, this has been stressing enough, so we can’t deny that we all do need some beach time.

And despite that, the pandemic has changed all the plans for this year’s vocations, or if you simply can’t go to the beach, you might as well create your own ‘sand pool’ in your backyard.

A Spanish company called Piscinas de Arena NaturSand is offering just that. Well, kinda. Piscinas de Arena NaturSand specializes in “sand pools” — custom pools that are as close to real beaches as it gets. And if people already have a pool of their own, the company can simply convert it into something straight out of a Mediterranean paradise.

Piscinas de Arena NaturSand says that it can “provide an environment similar to that of a piece of natural beach” and judging by their product photos, that’s not an exaggeration.

Piscinas de Arena NaturSand makes its sand pools with a special concrete mix that’s covered with compacted sand

Not only does the surface of these pools never get hot, but it’s also anti-slip dry and wet

People can also get a customized design to suit their land. In some cases, if the weather permits, such pools can be built in only 30 days

The company is based in Spain, but it provides construction or renovation of pools all over the world

The entrance of the sand pools begins with level zero on a soft ramp as if it were a real beach. This way, there’s no need for stairs or ladders

Sculpture Lovers Share Their Work, and Here Are 25 Incredible Pieces of Art

The sculpture is a medium of visual art that has been present since the dawn of time. Sculpture operates in three dimensions. It is one of the plastic arts. Depending on the sculpture, the process of creation can take quite some time. The whole process is separated into two parts, carving ( the removal of the material) and modeling (the addition of material as clay). Luckily today there’s a variety of materials where you can choose with which you wanna work. Starting from stone, to metal, wood, and ceramics, there are a lot of materials out there to experiment with.

A lot of sculpture lovers and sculptors have come together through an online community called r/Sculpture. This subreddit counts 44.5k members who all share their passion for sculpture.
