Dad Takes Over Daughter’s Social Media Account as a Punishment for Sneaking Boys Into a Sleepover Party

When kids make bad choices, parents are the ones who try to teach them to do better. This is the story of Madelynn Ella Grace and the lesson her parents taught her after taking a poor decision.

Madelynn was caught red-handed sneaking boys into a sleepover party and as a punishment, her parents gave her two choices. Either go one month without her phone, or two weeks and they would take control of her social media account. Trying to have her phone back as soon as possible, she made her choice which she regretted right after. Little did she know her dad was about to go viral with his ‘parents take-over posts.

The take over started on November 11, where the dad made his first post of his daughter covering her face shamelessly. In his caption, he explained what was going to happen for the next two weeks.

Her dad got really creative during his reign, and the internet absolutely loved it. This dad honestly deserves an award for being so creative on teaching his kid a lesson.

Eventually, even Madelynn’s classmates began regularly checking his updates.

“Here we go! Parent takes over day 3!!! She definitely should have chosen the month of grounding instead of 2 weeks and giving us access to all of her social media!! This is the last one to be shared to FB so go follow her TikTok!! Shout out to Hunter Tomlinson for the backup!!😂😂 #parenttakeover #parentingwin #makebetterchoices”- shared Larry Sumpter, Maddie’s dad on his Facebook page.

“At the first day, Madelynn was like, ‘I changed my mind, I choose the one month’,” the girl’s mom recalled. “Larry told her, ‘No. I’m too invested. I have too many ideas. We’re sticking with the two weeks.’ He’s loving it. I think he’s gonna make his own TikTok account when this is over.”

Check out all the hilarious posts he put up within the two weeks of Maddie’s punishment. After it was over, Maddie deleted all his footage from her Instagram, but her dad was already famous and a lot of people are asking him back. I mean, after seeing these pictures, you will too.

Lary uploaded his TikTok videos on his YouTube account, and they’re hilarious.

Finally, Madelynn got her phone back and posted a picture to let her followers know who’s in charge now.

Times Historians Had No Idea What Something Was And Women Stepped In And Told Them

In class, I learned that when I don’t understand something, someone else probably does. It’s more useful to learn someone’s perspective in a field than to force your perspective and fail miserably.

That’s the moral lesson to be learned in this viral Twitter thread by Gennifer Hutchison. For her, there are things that male historians and anthropologists get wrong because they usually don’t involve women’s perspectives in their research.
