Friendship is a beautiful thing that connects people from different backgrounds. It usually arises outside the family, where people expand their circle and create a network with different people. But there’s one friendship in particular which has caught the attention of a lot of people and has gone viral in social media,.
The relationship of a 93-year-old „Granny“ and her 27-year-old grandson Ross Smith is so special, and it started becoming even closer 6 years ago, during his tenure in college.
Like most of his peers, Ross began filming short videos on Vine, and he featured his grandma blocking a basketball shot in one of them. That video went viral on social media, and that it was the beginning of the collaboration for the famous duo. The grandma had lots of potential, and soon they were able to gain 92k YouTube subscribers, 2.7 million Instagram, and 9 million Facebook followers.
Below is only a small collection of their costume parodies. Their content is very rich with prank videos, comedy sketches and mini-documentaries about grandma’s experience using social media and such.
The collection consists of them dressing up for occasions that span from Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving to Valentine’s, the 4th of July, Superbowl, and beyond. They also have their own hilarious takes on popular movies like Marvel’s Avengers and Gladiator, as well as animation classics like Toy Story, Up! and Courage the Cowardly Dog. The amazing team are going strong, and grandma keeps us updates that she’s alive and kicking.
