Rescue Dog Drags Blanket Over To Share It With Stray Dog, Proving Once Again That Dogs Are A Gift To Humanity

An adopted rescue puppy has melted its owners’ hearts after being spotted sharing a blanket with a stray dog on a chilly morning.

Lana was taken in by Suelen Schaumloeffel and her fiancé after being found on the streets in Brazil.

But the lucky pooch, who is now a much-loved pet enjoying regular meals and a warm doghouse, hasn’t forgotten her humble origins.

Lana – who had been tucked into her cozy bed the night before – was spotted by Suelen’s fiancé doing something quite unusual on Tuesday morning as he went to work.

Meet Lana, a rescue puppy who knows a thing or two about friendship and being generous

Suelen Schaumloeffel

The kindhearted mutt had abandoned the luxury of her pink doghouse and dragged her lovely warm blanket to the gates of the couple’s home to give the homeless hound a share of her good fortune.

“I thought, ‘How beautiful what she did for her friend,’” Suelen Schaumloeffel, the woman who adopted Lana, tells The Dodo. “My best four-legged friend reminded me of something so important: generosity!”

“She is the nicest little dog I’ve ever met,” Schaumloeffel says. “We forget sometimes the difference we can make in someone’s life. She reminded me of this.”

Rescued from the streets, the doggie now has a loving owner, but still remembers what it’s like to be a stray

And now the couple, who are leaving out food for the stray dog, are hoping to help him find his way to a better place.

They say they have seen him around their house more than once, but he is too timid to come over to a human.

So, when she saw a homeless dog on a chilly night, she dragged her blanket to share it with him

Since this special day, Suelen and her fiancé have watched this special friendship unfold in front of their eyes. They have tried to approach the stray dog a few times but it always darts off. They hope that if he’s lost they can help him get home, or if he’s a stray, make him a part of their family. In the meantime, they’ve been leaving out food and water for him. After all, this is what Lana would do if she could.

Lana walked out of her cozy dog house to share her blanket with a stray dog out in the cold night air. Her selfless actions are just too pure for this world – what a truly beautiful dog!

1. For those with golden heart

My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved into his house. He treated my siblings and me as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.

Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and me. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers who fight for their children.
