We usually expect the higher the price, the better the quality, right? Turns out it’s not always the case. The founder of Dar Amor Bracelets, Ryan Clark, reached out to Tyler, a qualified graphic designer, to design his logo for 250 dollars. Although for 250 dollars, you wouldn’t expect a full-on detailed or animated design, that’s definitely a fair price for a clean, minimalistic, and text-based only design. In fact, that’s a lot for just a few hours of work. When Ryan got sent the final design back, he was stunned. It was so bad he had to share with folks on TikTok. And needless to say, this TikTok went viral.
Ryan was sent the most low-effort logo, probably, ever. The designer didn’t even bother changing the default font. We could attempt to justify Tyler and say he was just using minimalistic style to make the logo. But even a non-designer could argue that it’s not minimalistic. It’s just lazy.
In a series of TikTok videos, Ryan shared some email conversations with Tyler regarding the logo. Turns out, 250 dollars was not even the final price. Continue reading to find out the whole story and how it has ended.

TikTok users were ruthless in their judgment
Boston-based Ryan and his wife, Bia, founded Dar Amor Bracelets to help save street dogs in Mexico. Though they’re not selling any products just yet, when they do, each purchase will help care of stray dogs:
“It’s our mission to give street dogs in Mexico a chance at a better life. We are striving to create a product with purpose <…> Dar Amor has become more than just words. It’s a way of living. One that’s all about giving love, getting back to the core of who we really are, and living life to the fullest.“
The ‘professional’ later sent a proper version of the logo… but wanted more money from his client
