Minimalist Diagrams and Maps That Simplify Complex Ideas by Archie Archambault

If you ever feel lost in a new city, or anatomy, galaxy, setting a table, whatever it is, Archie Archambault (of Archie’s Press) is the person to turn to. Archie creates some awesome minimalist diagrams that simplify every confusing form and idea.

Archambault started creating these chart series when he was living in Portland, and found it difficult to get around the city. We are talking pre-smartphone era, when Google Maps wasn’t an option. As a result, Archambault came up with an awesome idea how to help him not to get lost in this big city.

As he was exploring the streets on his bicycle, he started putting pieces of the city on the paper. Afterwards he started traveling more and more in order to illustrate the whole city in a map. These trips of his took a long time, but we can say the results are quite helpful and amazing.

Therefore, this idea of simplifying things unfolded in many areas as well. Archambault started making diagrams of anatomy of the human body, outer space, food, and so much more. In a word, Archie’s work will give you an answer to anything you need to know regarding these topics.

We made a selection of some of his work, and for more you can check the artist’s website. You can even purchase your favorite illustration. Scroll down below to check out his work, and let us know in the comments if you learned something new from him.
