Photographers have that kind of skill of turning any boring and meaningless place, into a wonderful photoshoot set. The results we often see on social media, are probably edited images that don’t let us see the process behind the work. But photographer Gilmar Silva lets us into his creative process with images that expose the before and after of a shot. We’re able to see how far are the photographers willing to go to get the perfect shot.
Trying to make his client look their best, we see Silva lay in wet sand, while his client positions themselves in places we’d never imagined. The photos also show just how creative photographers are, cleverly transforming an anonymous landscape into a breathtaking environment just with a little imagination.
The artist regularly shares the behind-the-scenes- images by side with the final product on Instagram and Facebook. The series LUGARxFOTO, provides a clear look at how the final fantasy most often doesn’t match up with the reality of the shooting conditions. Whether it’s getting his brother to throw rice for a glittering background effect or misting water out of a bottle to mimic rain, it’s clear that simple solutions and out of the box thinking gets stellar results.
