This Collection of Images Reveals the School Buffets Around World

Obesity in America is an ongoing problem without a  solution so far. When you look at the American cultural full dish it’s obvious where all the calories are coming from. Starting from a typical American breakfast, for example, most of the buffets serve eggs, bacon, potatoes, French toast, and pancakes with syrup.

Eating that on a regular basis it’s normal to add some extra pounds, no matter the physical activity. A lot of school buffets as well serve that as well, causing obesity in children from a very young age. We all know it’s hard to say no to delicious food, but at some point, it’s all about educating yourself on what is right and wrong for your health.

To do that, Sweetgreen -a chain of salad restaurants that runs a Sweetgreen in Schools program want to educate people on this matter by exposing their type of food compared to other countries which are considered healthier.

Seeing these eye-opening pictures it’s so easy telling the difference between healthy and unhealthy eating. Images cover quite a big range of places coming from three different continents, and in most of them you can see the colorful trays with protein, vitamins, and all the important nutrients a child should consume daily, compared to a tray full of carbs that you would be served in the U.S.  By highlighting this problem Sweetgreen hopes to educate the next generation on clean eating.
