Many know the “joys” of working at customer service jobs. Numerous young people start off their employment records with server jobs. These jobs usually do not require prior experience, and the employees can be trained on the job. Therefore it’s an excellent opportunity for young people to start making their own money. Yet, no job is easy. The customer service field is notorious for vast numbers of harassment victims. According to this research, the restaurant industry has filled the largest number of sexual harassment claims in the U.S.
Yet, way too many employees fail to speak out. The survey showed that victims stay quiet because they fear losing their jobs. This signals a huge problem: many employers fail to provide sexual harassment training or do not follow or have harassment policies. Luckily, some employers actually do care for their workers’ safety and comfort at work, and this post is all about praising that. And also, to shame the rich and entitled, who think they can treat anyone however they like.
