25 Stunning Photos Of This Year’s Super “Flower Moon” Event

On May 7th took place the event called the ‘flower moon’ – 2020’s last supermoon. It’s the third supermoon we’ve seen this year and some captures people took of it are simply stunning.

Since this event took place in May, the month of blooming and spring, it earned its name the ‘flower moon’. But it is also known as the Corn Planting Moon, Milk Moon, or Hare Moon in some regions. Supermoons occur when a full moon coincides with the moon arriving at its closest approach to Earth in orbit, magnifying its usual size and brightness within the sky by as much as 30%.

Check out some fascinating photos below and if you couldn’t see it this year, the next supermoon will be visible in April 2021.
