Ed was studying psychology and business, while Heidi was an economics and management major. After Ed moved into the student accommodations, he was having trouble using the washing machine. Therefore, he reached out to Heidi, which was the previous tenant and ready to help Ed.
That was the first communication they thought they had. Afterwards, they locked eyes on a night out, which lead to a first date in a local Pizza Express. Years later into the relationship, Ed popped the big question, to which Heidi said yes. This sweet moment becomes even more awesome when they learned the first time they actually met.
While on a dinner with Heidi’s parents, her mom remembered that Heidi had a boyfriend named Ed, which she met while vacating in Turkey. What was thought as a cute coincidence, soon turned out to be a shocking truth. These love birds fell for each other at only 6 years old.
Heidi’s mom started digging into old family albums and found out the picture of Heidi and Ed as kids. Ed’s family did the same and they found some adorable shots of the lovely couple when they were kids.
They meet by coincidence twice, which makes you wonder that the universe wanted these people to be together.
Back in 1997, the two families decided they wanted a family vacation abroad. It just so happened that both decided to have their vacations in Bodrum, Turkey at the exact same time. The two families were from two different countries, and had never known each other before. However, kids did what kids usually do, and soon became friends with each other.
Unfortunately when the vacation ended, so did their friendship. And surprisingly none of them remembered this detail of their childhood.
Ed and Heidi are now married and co-own a café shop in Southfields, London. They went back to visit Turkey when everything started. To their surprise there was a mural of the two of them from when they were just 6, celebrating a love that started over 20 years ago.
