Imagine you are booking tickets for an overnight flight, and suddenly you get an offer to get a free upgrade to business class. It would be foolish to say no. But what if the person you are flying with, especially your significant other, doesn’t get the same offer?
This is precisely what happened to a user djuejejnu on Reddit. Some time ago, a man turned into the AITA Reddit community for a bit of honest advice regarding his recent travel decision. The man asked whether he was in the wrong for upgrading to a business class ticket while his wife sits in the economy.
The author explained that he was offered better seating using miles while booking a flight from Japan to the US for him and his wife. However, that offer didn’t include upgrading his wife’s seating, meaning she would have to fly separately from him in the economy class.
His wife was clearly not happy about this as she wanted to sit next to him on a 12-hour flight, but the husband didn’t see the issue. He added that “She thinks I chose business class over her, and that’s rude apparently.”
Make sure to read the entire story and see whether the great minds of Reddit agreed with the man or dubbed him “the A***ole.” What do you think?
