When you are passionate about something you do – you don’t consider it just work, just a way to yield some earnings – you really get the best out of it. And Chantal Levesque does just that.
Her journey of animal photography started when her dog died at 16 years old. Chantal offers her time at various shelters to photograph animals looking for a family and volunteers her photographer services to organizations that ensure animal welfare in Montreal. She lives in old Montreal, Canada with her cat Shirow (adopted from the SPCA).
“I usually photograph dogs in natural light settings but when the opportunity presented itself to photograph Fluffy the Therapy Pig I went bananas! We were lucky to find these delicate fresh pink tulips for her portraits (pink is her favorite color!).” – she said.
Speaking of Fluffy the Therapy Pig, Chantal said, “It should come as no surprise that she draws a crowd wherever she goes and her photo session was no exception. Lots of “awwwww”s were heard, people stopped to take photos of her and would just smile as they crossed her path. One can only imagine the joy and support she brings to people’s lives as a therapy pig!”
