Sometimes, we would keep objects just to be a souvenir of a past. Whether it be a toy, pictures, or handwritten letters from the past, we keep these items because they have sentimental value to us and serve as our window to the past.
The same is true with the Redditor PoloPurr. The problem, however, is that her boyfriend’s daughter was, I quote, “destructive.” The girl would destroy objects to the point that she cut OP’s childhood pictures and use them in her scrapbook. Of course, this infuriated OP, forcing her boyfriend and his daughter out of the house. The boyfriend told her that she was a jerk for acting like that over some pictures. Now, OP asks for validation if her reaction was valid because of some destroyed pictures.
