In the most technical of technical terms, work is having some of your time rented off. So work usually have schedules, and like usual rents, they are paid per unit time. If a certain timeslot is not in the timetable agreed upon before the work started, then it’s free time, and one can do whatever he wants with that time. That’s the underlying knowledge that revolves around our story for today.
The Redditor Porongas1993 went to the Anti-Work subreddit to share his story about his manager not letting him go after work hours. The manager called him unethical because he “had to” be available an hour before and after his work schedule just in case he would be needed during his off time. So he escalated the issue to his director which the manager did not like. Follow his story of revenge and justice below!
