“Just Be A Bigger Person And Get A Gift”: Woman Disappointed At Not Receiving An Invitation To Her Cousin’s Wedding, Decides Not To Send Them A Gift

Whenever you’re invited to a celebration, it’s a nice gesture to give gifts to the inviters. Unless the inviters themselves explicitly state that they don’t want any gift, your presents can act as a token of appreciation for them having you in the celebration. However, if you’re not invited in the first place, would you still have to give something to the hosts?

While that question sounds like it has a very definitive and easy answer, for the Redditor hiddenconcert, it doesn’t. In her post in Reddit’s Am I The A-Hole community, she asked the community if it was fine that she won’t give gifts to the couple that didn’t invite her to their wedding. Her dilemma was brought upon by her father insisting that she give something to the couple to be “a bigger person.” Find out what the community thinks of her situation below!

Throughout the months, we’ve known some people who had conflicts with their higher-ups for not respecting their work schedules. For example, we met this man who wasn’t allowed to leave early even though there was no more work, so he saw to it that he wouldn’t work anymore after his time. We have also known this guy who wasn’t let go even after his work hours.

Today, we’ll end these kinds of stories on a positive note. In a TikTok video by Alec (@handle), he retold his story where he observed his boss leaving at 5 pm on the dot. He then discovered him doing some work in his car. When he asked him why he did his matters in the car and not in his office, the boss responded that he wanted his employees to appreciate their work schedules by making them comfortable at leaving at 5 pm as well.
