Rules are rules unless you aren’t really under the said rules. For example, you couldn’t be reprimanded for not tending to the post you’re not supposed to tend, like this shopper who was yelled at by a convenience store manager because he was slouching in a place where he wasn’t really working.
Today’s story is in a similar vein. In a Reddit post, this homeowner said that he received notices from an HOA that he wasn’t following the HOA’s rules and regulations. However, the problem is that they weren’t a part of the HOA. So OP is now asking if it was wrong that they ignored such notices because they weren’t even a part of the association, even if their property is very close to HOA’s bounds.
